Baby Friendly Cleaning Product for Boo
Germs will be frightened with this line of disinfectants. Pale colors on the package give the illusion that the germs are being erased, revealing the transparent part of the bottle with information about safety. Each product in the line has a unique germs design, because different germs live on different surfaces. This playful design element indicates that the products are from the children's category. Boo and germs are washed off the surface.

The most difficult part of design creation was to show that the product is from the children's category, but it is nor for use by children. The target audience of the line is parents, but the products are for children's clothes. These two problems were solved by illustration of funny germs on the one hand, but calm colors on the other.
The project was made while studying at the British Higher School of Art and Design. The project began in October 2019 and ended in December 2019 in Moscow/Russia and was first published on Behance in April 2020.
The packaging design concept of the clean line for erasing germs clearly illustrates that the child’s toys and the rest will be disinfected effectively. This effect is also enhanced by the product transparency, that shows its naturalness, purity and the absence of unnecessary chemicals. Using this product line the parents will feel safe about their child.
In the course of work on this project, a study was carried out: an analysis of the packaging design of similar products in the category and a survey of parents of newborns in order to find out the criteria by which they choose products for washing children's dishes and cleaning the house. The most important for them were: safe composition, odorless, naturalness and versatility. For example, for washing fruits and vegetables with dishwashing detergent. The understanding of the parents appeared: the desire to protect their child from all potential risks in the world. This is how the line of versatile herbal extracts was born. And the concept of a clean line that erases harmful germs, expelling them with the word Boo. This line runs inseparably through each packaging.
The project was created as a semester course project in packaging design while studying at the British Higher School of Art and Design. There was a topic: packaging of children's detergents, laundry and dishwashing products, safe for children from 0 to 18 months. Before creating the design, a survey of products from a similar category and target audience was carried out. The design decision came from this survey. There is a need for a cleaning agent that is aggressive to dirt and germs, but safe for use with children. The rules for caring for the baby are strict: the first few months around the baby should be clean and safe. Children love to touch everything and put their fingers in their mouths. Therefore, they are easily exposed to harmful microbes and bacteria. At the same time, the child's immunity is not strong enough to withstand such a danger.
