Retail Shop for Nago Pineapple Park
The huge object designed in the atrium space forms a focal point with its overwhelming presence. Made of steel, the object is reminiscent of a pineapple wine brewing machine. Heikki Shinjiro imagined a space that would symbolize the next 100 years of Okinawa, a time of transformation for the facility. The project team for the Nago Pineapple Park Winery aimed to create a space where adults can enjoy the image, taste, and color of pineapples.

Tradition, Quality, Cleanliness, Emotional, A fusion of exoticism and Okinawa, Calmness, Impact,
By combining different materials such as wood, metal, mosaic tiles, antique glass, and stained glass in a well-balanced manner, The Nago Pineapple Park Winery project team have tried a century design that will last for 100 years.
This facility is part of Nago Pineapple Park, but it is also a core location. The design details adopted for this location will also play an important role in some of the facilities that will be renovated in the future.
This project started in Okinawa in January 2019, finished construction in May 2020, and opened in Nago Okinawa in June 2020. It's been a difficult start with the impact of Covid19 still being felt.
The first art object you see as you pass through the entrance is a giant wine-making machine. The height is 14 meters, and the ceiling height is effectively used by upper lighting. The lower part functions as a wine cellar and is displayed with indirect lighting. Around the cellar is a counter lounge for wine tasting and snacks. This art object is placed so that it can be seen from anywhere in the rest of the store space.
Nago Pineapple Park is developing a pineapple-based wine to attract a new customer base. The winery space, which is designed to create a space that adults can enjoy, has been adopted as the retail store, and pineapple art objects have been installed to look like brewing machines, creating a design with an impact not seen in amusement parks.
In the center of the winery space for adults in an amusement park, a symbolic art object of a high-impact Wine Brewing Machine is placed. It is a fusion of the taste of a French Napa winery, a contemporary style with moderate Okinawan and exotic touches, and a traditional century style. This is a winery resort space that symbolizes the new Nago Pineapple Park, which has inherited and brushed up the historic Nago Pineapple Park and will be loved even more in the future.
