The designer has extended the style from the appearance of the high-rising building, embellishing the inner space with designer goods such as the classic illuminations and carpets from Philippe Starck, Holly Hunt, Andre Fu so as to connect different domains together, establishing an elegant atmosphere. In addition, the designer has planned the flow line cleverly, which she has made the public domain a tone of transparency by not using any partitions but implying the function of each area with consistent floor size and color tone.
Pure white color, simple style, elegant space, black slabs
The floor of the public domain has been replaced with dark color slabs. The texture of the slabs has made connections to areas such as the living room and dining room, combined with pure white decorations and furniture, space has established an elegant visual perception. However, the designer has constructed the ceiling of the study with consistent lines as the publics. Also, with the use of smoked white oaks and walnuts in dark colors, the wooden floor and cabinets have conveyed a gentle and modest private domain of the client.
As the exterior of the building is designed by a foreign architect, the structure of it is lower than which of Taiwans construction. Hence, there are no aluminum windows or doors in it. Although the windows have broadened the view of the house, the establishment of tiles becomes another challenge to the craftsman. Finally, after several discussions between the designer and the client, the outcome of the design has made both sides satisfied.
The project was completed in November 2020 in Taipei City, Taiwan.
How to make different furniture, materials perfectly match with each other and build a wonderland for the client are the two priorities to the designer. The designer has cleverly managed the clients favorite stone material, marble, as the key vision of the public domain, and used dark color slabs as floorings to connect areas. In addition, the designer has made an open design to the public space, which has created a visual of transparency, also under the light of the wall lamps, expressing changes of emotions gracefully.
Composed of pure white color and simple style. Hence, combined with the decoration selected by the designer, the residence becomes an elegant space. Also, the public is adopted an open design and used black slabs with stone texture to decorate which has manifested a sense of coldness. However, in order to reduce the sense of coldness and add a bit of warmth into space, the designer has arranged a wall covering in warm grey color and a carpet in low chroma color designed by Andre Fu.
The designer has made different materials harmoniously match with each other and with simple techniques to design the place. So as to establish a vivid visual expression, the designer has also balanced the expression between each color and delicately planned the domain flow line. With the good use of curved lines and gentle expression of the decorations, the designer has outlined a modern spirit to space and also reduced the cold and strong feeling of the modern style, building a comfortable space for the client.
