Photographer Katsuhiro Ohkuchi's works that takes recreate photos by small dwarf's eyes incorporate of wide macro lens, deep focus by focus stacking, linear perspective, occlusive perspective, aerial perspective and deja vu effect. Those are important elements that humans perceive size. He came up with this photography technique ten years ago, and he is still studying it.
Shooting methods have continued to change due to the evolution of hardware and software as a result of shooting for 10 years. Therefore, he always tried to keep up to date with the latest information. This research has availability such as shooting videos and shooting in a studio imitating a huge space, and he plan to continue this research in the future.
This work started in 2010 and published on Behance from 2020.
Please remember the imaginary world of childhood that adults have forgotten. He hopes people become conscious of a beautiful small world are spread at feet, and be more kind to nature even just a little. He is sure that no one will throw trash on the world after seeing his work.
His works are taken fantastic photos from familiar and common landscape. He takes photos to make a small world look like a big world by using trick of the eye. Then, when they see his works, they raise awareness of environmental issues by knowing of a beautiful familiar place and remember their special childhood of adventuring in a little world.
Photographer Katsuhiro Ohkuchi was trying to find impressive landscapes that anybody have never seen when he was a student. One day, he remembered the imaginary world of his childhood that a very small dwarf adventure in the park. He thought Landscapes that he was looking for are already exists close people. He thought take photos a world by small dwarf's eyes at the same time. Then, he have been studying the method for take recreate photos by their eyes.
