The gift box implies the connotation and profound meaning of Chinese koi culture and Bagua culture, showing the most precious and traditional blessing for being auspicious and wealthy, which reflects culturally the characteristics of banking industry. Inspired by Chinese koi culture and gossip culture, the culture itself is not only integrated with the attributes of the industry, but also has the meaning of blessing.

Operation Flow
We designed a cover with an outer square and an inner circle, which not only increases the quality of the gift box, but also gives it a deeper cultural meaning; The square is yin, and the circle is yang. The square is the earth and the circle is the sky. The original intention is a place where the sky is round. Outside the inner circle, the sky is harvested in the middle, the earth is encircled, the heaven and the earth are one, and the person is the heaven and the earth, namely Thailand. The Tai hexagram is the best one among the 64 hexagrams.

I hope that the design of gift box not just floats on the surface. Stripping out its contents, the gift box implies the connotation and profound meaning of Chinese culture, so it itself is the most precious blessing. Inspired by Chinese koi culture and Bagua culture, the design itself is not only integrated with the wealth attribute of the banking industry, but also expresses the well-wishing. The gift packaging design becomes a part of the gift. The gift box implies the connotation and profound meaning of Chinese koi culture and Bagua culture, showing the most precious and traditional blessing for being auspicious and wealthy, which reflects culturally the characteristics of banking industry. Telling Chinese stories with Chinese creativity; Activating Chinese brands through Chinese culture.
Inspiration
The visual graphic is designed by extending the koi elements, implying auspiciousness and good luck. According to Chinese tradition, directions are divided into eight parts. Thus, wealth of eight directions means that fortune comes from all directions. And the koi fishes from different directions mean to gather the wealth. Each fish can be interpreted by different verses, so they also have their own blessings in different environments. The overall composition is based on the Tai ji Diagram, the moral of which is that banking business can forge forward constantly to form its own closed-loop of funds and achieve the wealth cycle. The logo of bank is put in the middle in the form of a gold coin, implying also a good blessing to amass a fortune.

Ziqiong Li's Bafang Koi design is a gift box that embodies the auspiciousness and wealth symbolism of Chinese koi culture, tailored for the banking industry. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this design is a fusion of traditional blessings and modern packaging innovation. The design project was initiated in Xi'an in January 2021, completed in April 2021, and brought to life through a combination of paper printing, hot stamping, embossing, and UV processes. The 240mm*240mm*150mm gift box is a visual representation of the wealth cycle, inspired by the Tai ji Diagram, with the bank's logo at its center symbolizing good fortune and prosperity.
