The mountain view inspired mnb design studio’s concept, and they knew that they wanted to integrate the view as much as possible. Although every mountain has its unique shape, mountain ranges create a curious 'ebb and flow' design. They wanted to bring these exterior elements into the apartment and make it a perfect relaxing home for the family.

The clean, minimal slope ceiling will guide the eyes towards the mountain view. The ceiling is designed this way to imitate the feeling of standing on top of a mountain. A 2-in-1 ‘fireplace’ and bookshelf cabinet goes all the way alongside the tv wall, with a comfortable fabric sofa and rug. The design studio used timber materials for the dining area, with the sideboard and door details designed to mimic the shape of hills. The kids' bedroom is fashioned to look like a campsite.

To create a sustainable and durable design that could withstand long-term use. To understand the client's basic needs to build a perfect home for them. The design has many different parts, such as new shelves, doors, and furniture made from all kinds of materials. Everything needed to be precise and fit seamlessly, so it is a challenge for both designers and builders in the field to make it work. Material selection and consistency are essential. The theme should be constant throughout the apartment, starting from the entrance up to the bedroom.
The design stage started in January 2021 and the construction at March 2021, completed on August 2021 in Hong Kong.
Reaching the mountain top gives a person a sense of peacefulness and satisfaction. mnb design studio wanted to emulate this feeling, so they transported this concept by creating an interior inspired by mountaintops. The environment's natural beauty is an excellent concept to integrate into the design. Aside from its aesthetic properties, several hidden storage spaces also help maintain a clean, minimal, and spacious area.
By using both field and secondary research methods (such as communicating with the client about their living style and hobbies), mnb design studio was able to develop a satisfactory design that is acceptable and aesthetically pleasing. The designers visited stores, searching for suitable materials and textures to match the best options and achieve the final design.
