Design Challenge

Thinking about how to control the uncertainty of handmade, I have a strong passion for adjusting different techniques and getting the exact accuracy.

Project Duration

The project started in May 2019 in California and finished production in January 2021 in China.

Operation Flow

The Existence is to sit with people's attention and set their minds free.

Research

Collecting Inspirations from myself, Starting with sketching, Making small scale mockups and deciding the design direction, Making real scale prototypes and adjusting design.

Inspiration

I think, therefore I am. Instead of designing a chair for physical comfort, I look for a chair reflecting me and the existence of my mind.

Existence Chair has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
