Design Challenge
Due to the thick thickness of the native TOCN of the power board, the main board and the module, the rear case of the display is very large in size. In order to reduce the visual experience of the heavy back cover, we try to thin the edge of the back cover as much as possible. At the same time, in order to highlight the difference between gaming elements and conventional monitors, we use a layered back cover design.
Project Duration
The project started in March 2021 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, completed in May 2021 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, and exhibited in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China in August 2021.
Operation Flow
Open the terminal cover of the rear shell of the monitor, plug in the power cord, connect it with the computer host with the signal transmission line, and cover the terminal cover to complete the installation. Turn on the power, the light of the rear shell and the low end light of the base will jump with the display screen.
Research
Through the data collection and analysis of the existing domestic and foreign Gaming monitors, it can be found that the design styles can be mainly divided into two types: A. High end and simple competition style: the whole machine model is simple in shape. Incorporate a moderate amount of competition elements. The integration of lighting adds a sense of competition. B. Distinctive personality and competitive style: The key design is the design of the rear shell and the middle base. (Strong sense of competition, strong lighting blessing)
Inspiration
The design of Konka 48 inch OLED gaming monitor is inspired by the shape and composition of fighter planes, with staggered lines, high and low block surface splicing, symmetrical texture with upward impact trend, slender triangle lighting design, blade base design, bottom end matching interaction Atmospheric lights create a strong sense of gaming atmosphere and provide players with an immersive gaming experience.
Project Overview
Gaming Monitor Esports Display has been a Silver winner in the Computers and Peripheral Devices Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
