Residential for WENJOY Interior Design
The homeowner wanted the interior to reflect his preferred technological elements and cool colors. To avoid the colors causing coldness and dullness, the designer has adopted the "softness with strength" concept and carefully combined the overall with arc-shaped elements. The space emits a novelty feeling by applying a smooth silver tone and extending gray mirrors with black glass made cabinets. Furthermore, the curve outlines of the cabinets, shelves, and tabletops have delivered a sense of lightness and broadness that exist between imagination and reality.

In addition to the primary colors of black, white, and gray, silver metallic materials are also decorated to inject a sense of technology while achieving balance within the rich layers. In the public area, gray colors on the flooring and television wall are used as the leading tonal, while black cabinets are set up to increase functionality for display and storage. Meanwhile, shelves and tabletops in arc shapes are designed to create a visual effect of rigidity with softness in the calm and cold space.

Italian formaldehyde-free paints, black glasses, gray mirrors, colored cellophane, laminate hard plastic sheets, LED strips, trap doors, underground sensor lights, iron sheets, and glass display cabinets.
Since the initial lighting conditions of the hallway were poor, and the leading dark colors will decrease brightness even more, the designer set up black glasses on the ceilings and floorings and embedded linear lightings between public and private areas to improve the situation. Furthermore, curved elements are placed within the space in many corners; even though the modeling is more time-consuming than linear designs, the interior is able to emit a refreshing spatial feeling in the end.
The project finished in August 2021 in Taiwan.
The client has a hobby of collecting rare or Polish potteries; hence, the designer has set up various display cabinets in the space. Black glass and curved metal doors are designed on the cabinets to store each display staggeringly. Meanwhile, the curved spindle design of the sizeable custom-made dining table not only has a unique appearance but is also equipped with hidden storage spaces. By properly enlarging the length of the table with a black-glass-made surface, the item has given penetrating and extending visual effects while eliminating the dull impression brought by the size of the table.
At the entrance, the porch and the shoe-wearing area are divided using different flooring materials. As for the dining area, a sizeable custom-made tabletop in arc shapes is set up to pair with the flooring to highlight the centerpiece; colored cellophane is decorated inside the laminate to add a personal touch to the casual dining and kitchen area as well. The display cabinets have also embodied the theme for curved elements; the silver arc-shaped doors and black-glass-made doors are interlaced to show a low-key sense of richness.
The space is delicately planned to create an integrated layout with a proper balance between the coolness of technology and the warmth of materials. The configuration is rearranged according to the client demands; with a smooth traffic flow and transformations between imaginations and reality, the space is decorated in arc shapes and glass elements to deliver a neat and clear spatial tone. One can feel several configurations equipped within a single area that combines functionality with style as one steps in.
