This is the panda-themed wine bottle designed by the Venus team for Guotai Winery in Guizhou, China. They use abstract bionic forms to represent pandas. The design adopts a combination of bionic shape and ergonomics, and forms an abstract panda arm in the groove of the bottle body, which is non-slip and more convenient to use. The shape of the bottle is dynamic and smooth, and the combination of black, white and gold highlights the oriental philosophy.

This is a panda-themed bottle designed for Guotai Winery in Guizhou, China. Use abstract bionic forms to represent pandas. The bionic shape and ergonomics are combined to form an abstract panda arm in the groove of the bottle body, which is non-slip and more convenient to use. The shape of the bottle body is full of streamline and dynamic, and the black and white gold color matching shows the oriental philosophy.

Design Challenge

How to create a unique bottle shape to express panda, this is a problem. It is also necessary to meet the customer's cost requirements.

Project Duration

The project started in China in January 2022 and completed in China in January 2022.

Operation Flow

Hold the bottle in the groove and turn the cap with your other hand to open it. In the groove is an abstract panda arm, which in the hand creates the feeling of interacting with the panda.

Research

Pandas are the animals loved by people all over the world. Through in-depth understanding of pandas, I found that pandas are totem symbols of mysterious oriental culture in people's hearts. Expressing this symbol in an abstract way, combined with ergonomic shape, can increase the interaction between consumers and Chinese panda culture and drive consumers' emotional resonance.

Inspiration

The customer put forward a demand for the packaging design of the panda-themed wine. After receiving the demand, I want to find the relationship between people and natural animals through this design, not just a package. I observed pandas on China's IPanda online channel and did a lot of research on pandas. After getting to know the panda in depth, I felt that Chinese philosophy should be used to interpret its image.
