Sales Center for Emerald Design
The Chinese character, Qian, refers to one of the hexagrams in I-Ching, and the virtue of modesty in Chinese culture. Inspired by the hexagram composition of broken lines, this project is planned out with linear and geometric combinations. Complemented with linear arrangements, overlapping circles symbolize well-roundedness and form an artistic identity to this sales center. Either the color or shape sustains a literati profoundness between the void and solid of forms. Meanwhile, this case complies with real estate sales concerns, in which seats and tables are sufficiently installed.

wood, glass, circles, linear arrangement
Without extravagant materials, this project imbues with orient literati ambiance, deeply rooted with philosophical undertones, merely built up in minimal forms: line and circle. Either the color or shape convey the core value of the property, sustaining a profound quality.
This sales center is a temporary building. Considering environmental-friendly aspects, both exterior and interior avoids excessively multiple material combinations. Instead, modest colors and wood veneer carpentry pervades all over spaces, lessening future demolish difficulties.
Complete in November 2020, located in Taoyuan city, Taiwan
In Chinese culture, the shape of circles symbolizes well-roundedness, perfect fullness, or complete merits. Pairing with arrays of orderly linear arrangement, overlapping circles form an artistic identity to the sales center. Either the color or shape conveys the core value of this project residential property, sustaining a profound quality.
Meanwhile, for the real estate sales concerns, seats and tables are compartmentalized into relatively sufficient segments. Both artistic identity and pragmatic layout were considered and fulfilled in execution.
The project name ‘Qian’ derives from the fifteenth hexagrams in <I Ching>, an ancient Chinese philosophy classic. Qian hexagram is composed of a set of broken linear combinations, with its lower trigram referring to mountain and the upper trigram meaning earth. Inspired by hexagram composition of line pieces in different lengths, the interior inherits linear and geometrical combinations, piling contour lines in varied displacement; dynamic rhythms are depicted between void and solid patterns.
