Design Challenge
The mid-and top-earners in the first tier cities always have small apartments, and many families do not have special leisure space such as a study or tea room. Therefore, the living room needs to receive guests and have the function of leisure. People have requirements for the quality of life. They hope to relax and pursue an elegant and interesting lifestyle when they return home after work. It can not only meet the requirements of modern furniture generalization and standardization, but also contain Chinese national characteristics and traditional culture.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2018 in ShenZhen and improved in June 2022.
Operation Flow
One person can realize the conversion between chair, leaning furniture and coffee table through simple combination. Meet the needs of different scenarios.
Research
Pingji is a kind of furniture for people to lean when they are sitting on the ground in ancient China. With the development of people's sitting form turn to sitting on the high-type furniture, chairs and benches became the main sitting furniture, and the round-backed armchair evolved from the combination of Pingji and square benches. The structure is derived from the traditional redesign. The overall shape is simple and full of Chinese flavor.

Relax Composable Leaning Chair has been a Silver winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
