The outer box is made from environmentally friendly pulp and features modern-style envelope labels. The internal tea sets are crafted from Shengkou Kiln ceramics from Shengkou Village, Guilin Town, Shexian County, Anhui Province. Shexian Shengkou Kiln originated during the Tang Dynasty, flourished during the Five Dynasties, and ceased production in the Song Dynasty, with a history of at least 1,170 years. It boasts high-end ceramics with single-color glazes such as black-brown and black-green.
The design and production of the internal tea sets involve the use of ceramics from Shengkou Kiln in Guilin Town, Shexian County, Anhui Province. These ceramics are characterized by high-quality single-color glazes such as black-brown and black-green.
This project began in October 2022 and, after approximately 8 months of research, organization, and design, it was finally prototyped and produced in June 2023. It was showcased at the Shenzhen Creative Gifts Exhibition.
This work utilizes eco-friendly outer packaging and the application of plastic envelope labels in different colors. It aims to better and more directly convey the theme of "Bao'an Youli" brand, making it closer to the lives of modern young people. Through the presentation of Chinese tea sets, it not only fulfills various modern lifestyle needs but also seamlessly integrates traditional cultural elements with contemporary aesthetic styles.
Understanding the needs, preferences, and behavior patterns of the target users is crucial. This involves gathering user feedback and insights through methods such as user research, market analysis, and competitive analysis. During the early stages of product design, concept development and ideation are carried out. This includes defining the product's positioning, target user demographics, core features, and characteristics. Preliminary design concepts are developed using tools like sketches, storyboards, and user stories.
The designer has chosen "Bao'an Youli" as the main theme, incorporating the Bao'an District's Phoenix Tower as a design element. They have captured traditional auspicious symbolism in a collection of Chinese tea sets designed for everyday tea enjoyment and contemplation. This series not only meets various modern lifestyle needs but also seamlessly blends traditional cultural elements with contemporary aesthetic styles.
