Grafiche Sabbioni required a new brand position to celebrate the firm's 60th year anniversary. Salt&Pepper worked with the company to create modern visual languages to promote this important milestone, highlighting the brand’s capabilities in sustainability in the box and traditional print processes. Salt&Pepper created an energetic, robust, and positive branding system, creating a line of 100 percent sustainable, using water-based inks and minimal paper waste to promote the company's core values.

Grafiche Sabbioni required a new brand position to celebrate the firm’s 60th year anniversary. Salt&Pepper worked with the company to create modern visual languages to promote this important milestone, highlighting the brand’s capabilities in sustainability in the box and traditional print processes. Salt&Pepper created an energetic, robust, and positive branding system, creating a line of 100% sustainable, using water-based inks and minimal paper waste to promote the company’s core values.
Branding
Letterpress, linotype printing, and modern digital programs were used to composite the final project. The outer box and agenda were printed on 100% recycled material in 2 Pantone colors and CMYK. The anniversary book was printed in 7 colors on FSC paper.
Our research began with using letterpress and the linotype system to create experimental-type solutions. The major challenge was to create a 100% sustainable project that would work from box design to editorial, with minimal paper wastage and sustainable inks. These experiments were then developed digitally to create a contemporary feel.

The design inspiration was drawn from traditional printing processes. The anniversary book was printed in letterpress and linotype printing, fused with modern typography, to create a contemporary feel to the branding system.
