The Taj is a Jewelry piece which is made in 18k gold, diamonds and pearls. The shape is inspired by an octagonal lotus flower pond placed upside down. To give it a classical look the beauty of euro shank is used. Taj Mahal is an ambassador of Shah Jahan's strong interest in building and artistic innovations. The new architectural style includes aspects that were to impinge much of subsequent Indian architecture.

Unique Properties

The Taj is a Jewelry piece which is made in 18k gold, diamonds and pearls. The shape is inspired by an octagonal lotus flower pond placed upside down. To give it a classical look the beauty of euro shank is used.

Production Technology

The design was first made in a 3d software known as matrix. it then went through the process of cad/cam, casting, cleaning, stone setting, and the final polishing.

Project Duration

The project started in November 2019 in Carlsbad, USA and finished in December 2019 in Carlsbad, USA

Operation Flow

The product is a finger ring which is supposed to wear for occasions such as cocktails, weddings, etc.

Research

The design research started with an inspiration of any famous architecture in India. Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders in the world and signifies true love.

Inspiration

Taj Mahal is an ambassador of Shah Jahan's strong interest in building and artistic innovations. The new architectural style includes aspects that were to impinge much of subsequent Indian architecture. Symmetry along two sides of a central axis, new columnar styles, curvilinear forms, and symbolic decorations based on naturalistic plant motifs are all characteristics of the Shahjahan style that can be found in the Taj Mahal Complex.

Project Overview

Taj Ring has been a Iron winner in the Jewelry Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
