The Songhuajiang rice was the high-class rice from Suyuan Food Group. They produced the well-packaged rice as corporate gifts at Chinese new year approach. Therefore, the package design should satisfy the festival atmosphere,display the traditional Chinese culture elements, and spread the good moral.

The reason why this packaging was unique not only because its shape was unusual, but also its materials was special. In order to improve the quality and smoothness of packaging, they chose the fine pearl paper and used laser cutting technology, which made the scales of Koi more clear and the whole packaging more three-dimensional and vivd.
Most rice packages in China are made in plastic bags. As a New Year gift, this kind of rice has not only Chinese traditional elements but also high-end auspicious implications, which is difficult to package. After the originality is determined as Koi carp, the requirements for subsequent materials and production technology are also very high. Through continuous cutting pressure testing, we finally achieve the effect of complete scaling without cutting off.
The project started in September 2018 in Beijing and finished in December 2018 in Beijing, and was exhibited in Supermarket in December 2018.
By comparing the effects of various papers, they finally adopted fine-grained Pearl paper, which can better highlight the texture of smoothness and brightness, as well as the combination of laser cutting technology and manual, to make the scales turn up slightly, so that the whole packaging has a more three-dimensional sense.
This striking unique packagings are both creative and aesthetical alongside with a good moral, keeping a deep impression to the consumers. It helps enhancing the customer's favor for the brand, as well as the brand marketers to complete a successful marketing.
Koi means good luck in China. Therefore, combining the water, light, earth, and other elements, they picked up Koi as the packaging form. In addition, they inosculated patterns and color features of Koi for satisfying the overall visual effect.
