Production Technology

Design Challenge

The combination of the power, speed, and engraving material density of the laser machine is the key to improving use rate of the finished product rate. I have tested more than 30 times in total.

Project Duration

Production starts in 2017 and ends in Beijing in 2018

Operation Flow

Open the lid of the book from the middle to the sides, take out the whole book, each page of the book is made of wood, can be taken out separately to watch

Research

Re-editing ancient books with Adobe Illustrator, then using laser engraving mechanisms for finished products, controlling the balance between laser engraving machines and paints is the most difficult part of the project

Inspiration

As Laozi recorded in the Tao Te Ching "nature from the way, and the way from what is beneath abstraction". There is a close relationship between tea culture and traditional Chinese Taoist culture. The ancient people enjoyed the return to nature and self in the process of drinking tea, coinciding with the Taoist concept of "harmony between man and nature".
