Designers could make this changing point by using only 6 papers for 12 months. They wish to bring color to every one of the users' lives.

Production Technology

How to use Step 1: When the month is over, bring the finished one to the back of the calendar. Step 2: After 6 months, bring June to the back of the calendar. Step 3: Turn over all papers together and the rest of 6 months starts with Irozuki. You can enjoy the different colours every month after bringing a piece of the calendar to the back. 6 months later, another colour combinations will appear for you. We could make this changing point by using only 6 papers for 12 months.

Design Challenge

The package design part was the most challenging point of this. We wanted to pack this calendar like a flower but it was very difficult to keep their flower shape because it must be hung. So we designed a flower-shaped package’s basement with double cutting papers. Then we could keep it like a flower on any display.

Project Duration

This project term was from October 2019 to November 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.

Operation Flow

Research

We went to lots of stores and exhibitions related with calendar and lifestyle for researching about colorful calendars and products. And our friends’ houses as well, for researching reality. Then we figured out a colorful calendar would be able to be a colorful interior/product cheaper than stylish designers products. We believe a simple lifestyle, a simple interior are very good choices. But we decided to make Irozuki as a beautiful spot color like a cool interior product.

Inspiration

We aim to make a calendar like monthly flowers. We believe a simple lifestyle, a simple interior are very good choices. But we recommend adding Irozuki as a beautiful spot colour like a cool interior product.
