Hadar is a recent graduate from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. She studied in the Department of Jewelry and Fashion, specializing in jewelry and shoe design. While working on her graduate project she researched the world of shoes and their representation in the Jewish religion. Ultimately her final project presented two pairs of shoes made with multi-layered fabric constructed of and by different materials and techniques. ׳walk of mind׳ method of work bridges gaps between modern digital technology and old-world craftsmanship. The project combines additive manufacturing and traditional wet molding technique while weaving together Nylon 12 polymer and vegetable-tanned leather. Walk of mind explores a new approach to shoe design accompanied with new terminology. The project opens a new horizon for endless explorations in the shoe fabrication arena as it holds within a wide range of design possibilities that combine digital planning and traditional assembly.
