Keep Face Mask in a Card-sized Package for INNOSPHERE LTD.
Design with a Social Impact. The outbreak of coronavirus makes mask-wearing a daily habit. At mealtime, people use tissue papers or envelopes to wrap "take-off" masks which is an unpleasant experience and not eco-friendly. By creating a new hygiene manner, with Maskeeper, people can temporarily store personal face masks in a business card-sized package, which is hygienic, handy, and neat. This smartly solves all pain points and minimizes cross-contamination to/from the mask.

** First in the World to Satisfy the Unmet Need** In this unexpected situation, there is NO product really caters to this need for temporary mask storage and solves the pain point. People just use envelopes or tissue paper to store “take-off” masks during mealtime which are NOT eco-friendly and with POOR user experience. To satisfy this, we designed the Maskeeper to tackle this scenario and created a new and easy table manner for everyone. This allows every user to “fold and store” the mask in a simple, neat, and hygienic way.

**Fast to Market, Over One Million Pieces Distributed.** Because of the unexpected pandemic and of urgent need, we just use 20 days to develop, produce and launch Maskeeper to market. Made of Food Grade PP sheet with die-cut and folds, which ensures the fastest manufacturing rate, lowest production cost, so every citizen could afford and access Maskeeper ASAP.
**Minimal Design but Highly Efficient** In Feb-2020, production plants in Mainland were all closed and there was no way to carry out mass production. So we optimized the design of Maskeeper that can be efficiently produced locally by Laser Cuttimh machine in batches with available workshops in Hong Kong to support the urgent need of citizens. Until mass product facilities were available, these were produced in million and distributed widely.
The project was started on 31-Jan-2020 and the product was launched to market on 21-Feb-2020 in Hong Kong.
**Smart and Intuitive** Just place the medical mask onto Maskeeper, user could intuitively fold and keep the mask into a card-sized package, which is simple and handy. (Please see provided video link for demonstration).
**Mission on Creating Shared Value (CSV)** The pandemic caused a serious impact to local retail business. No one visited local stores to spend. Thousands of small shops were at the critical stage of closing down. By making good use of huge demand of Maskeeper, we allied with many small shops, from restaurants to cafés, and introduced the “Maskeeper Redemption Scheme”. This encouraged consumers to “Purchase First and then Redeem Maskeeper”. So people will spend for a certain amount in shops (say buying a cup or food) and redeem Maskeepers at a discounted offer. This incentive acted as business leverage and induced sales opportunities for small shops at that frozen economy.
**The New Lifestyle Essential for the New Normal ** The unexpected pandemic makes mask-wearing a daily habit. At mealtime, people use tissue papers or envelopes to wrap "take-off" masks which is a POOR experience and NOT eco-friendly. Creating a new hygiene manner, with Maskeeper, people can temporarily store the medical mask in a business card-sized package, which is hygienic, handy, and neat. This smartly solves all pain points and minimizes cross-contamination to/from the mask.
