Based on the natural butterfly shape as the inspiration, the streamline and basic shape of the wings were extracted and developed. Finally, the butterfly seat was found to be curvilinear and could satisfy the needs of comfortable sitting. Butterfly chair have the advantages of beautiful appearance, stable structure, and good integration of shape and structure. The furniture adopts 3D printing technology, takes high speed steel as raw material, and has good strength which can satisfy the modern people comprehensively in leisure esthetic demand.

This chair is designed with the butterfly as the source of inspiration, gradually transformed from the basic shape of the butterfly, and finally developed this kind of butterfly chair.The structure is stable, and the overall furniture has a good fusion of shape and structure. This seat is designed with the human body's scapula as inspiration, the smooth lines of the back are extracted, and the basic shape of the scapula is evolved and developed to form the seat.
The design extracts the shape of the butterfly in the nature as the inspiration for the design. The butterfly chair shape extracts the momentum of the butterfly to divide the back and the seat surface into two parts, and at the same time derive the overall shape based on it.The curve shape of the chair legs is to extract the back curve produced by the butterfly wings. The furniture as a whole tries to simulate the vertical dynamics of the butterfly to obtain a different kind of beauty from it, and to provide an unusual curve beauty for the indoor home.
Butterfly Chair has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
