This tea is produced in Xishuangbanna, an ethnic minority region in Yunan Province of China. Xishuangbanna is Chinese only tropical rain forest nature reserve, with favorable natural ecological preservation and various rare animals and plants.

Production Technology

Tea cake is wrapped with environmental protection hand-made paper, and then superimposed together, which is the inheritance of the ancient packaging form and an innovation.

Design Challenge

In the process of product proofing and production, there are also many obstacles, because some of them are completed by hand, and there are some difficulties in the assembly process. Through close communication with the manufacturer in the later stage, the final product can be perfectly presented, and the market feedback is good.

Project Duration

The project was created in February 2019, completed in Shenzhen in January 2020, and exhibited in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in December 2020

Operation Flow

Four independent packaging, can be combined into a complete picture, product shelf display effect is outstanding, also reflects the growth of this tea regional cultural background.

Research

In the process of product creative design, not only the consumers of the product should be considered, but also the experience of customers and the effect of the product on the shelf. Reasonable expression of material, convenient use of products, environmental protection and recycling can promote the sales of products.

Inspiration

This tea is produced in Xishuangbanna, an ethnic minority region in Yunan Province of China. Xishuangbanna is Chinese only tropical rain forest nature reserve, with favorable natural ecological preservation and various rare animals and plants. Xishuangbanna is renowned for tea both in China and abroad. Looking at the tea leaf on the external packing, people feel a moving original scene, where local representative rare animals are in thearborescens tree, vivid and natural.

Project Overview

Mountain Tea Tea Packaging has been a Silver winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design. Their work often incorporates original innovations and elicits a strong emotional response, making a notable impact on the improvement of everyday life.
