The Casa da Varanda has the particularity of having the porch area integrated into the body of the house. A large and integrated space comprises a TV room, barbecue with wood stove, island counter in the social area, lunch table, and a large rustic table made of natural wood. The project specifies materials such as wood, brick, concrete, and stone combined with contemporary architecture.

The project uses natural materials such as concrete wood slats, brick, and a rustic porcelain tile floor with a stone effect. These combined materials convey the feeling of warmth. Quartz countertops support natural wood countertops in its extension. The lighting in LED bars was designed to be positioned between the wooden slats. In the room with the highest ceiling, LED lamps were placed on the ceiling, as well as the beacon lights on the stairs.
The great challenge was to create a harmonious counterpoint between a cozy interior design, using wood and natural materials, inserted in minimalist architecture. The large double-height living room integrates with the balcony space. And all spaces are connected and open to the leisure area through large glass openings, with sliding doors that open aligned by 18 meters in length. The solid wooden staircase, fixed to only one of the walls, was also a great challenge in the execution. The fixing system has been carefully thought out so that the ladder has total safety, stability, and visual lightness.
The project started in January 2017 in Franca, Brazil, and got ready in January 2020.
The Casa da Varanda project is intended to be an integrated space to promote the relationship between people in the family, receive friends, cook and have entertainment. For this purpose, a gourmet kitchen was designed with an emphasis on a wood stove and oven, bringing today a way of cooking for our ancestors, rescuing the family concept, bringing to this environment the Brazilian culture, in which several people remain around a stove, talking, drinking, eating, celebrating and having fun. This space enables unity and interaction between people.
The large room was distributed in several environments to provide functionality. The gourmet kitchen received a wood stove and oven, electric barbecue, electric plate, and large quartz countertops with sink and accessories. On the central part, many refrigerators and wine coolers were distributed on the back wall. It is where great interaction takes place. Connected to the quartz island counter, a large and rustic solid wood table with wavy edges becomes the dining table. Brick coverings, round concrete pillars, and the wood ceiling are highlights of the project
This residential project uses wooden slats in composition with other natural elements. Concrete pillars and bricks are used materials. The floor has natural features, very similar to rustic stones that harmoniously compose the environment. The LED lighting was designed to fit perfectly into the wooden slatted ceiling, thus creating a well-lit space, and free from excess.
