In this project, some platform ceilings are decorated with encaustic tiles, and iron members, glass and ceramic products are used to the interior, adding interest to the concise and lively space. The space configuration is appealing, simple yet practical, and reflects the fast pace and vigorous modern life.
This project is the first project integrating design, material procurement, construction and installation, and gives maximum play to EPC by using materials skillfully and integrating resources. The design is optimized from the perspective of on site construction, improving design efficiency, saving overall costs and accelerating construction progress.
The project was located in Harbin, China. It was completed in April 2020.
Bright colors like red, green and yellow are used extensively in the space, and odd shaped roofs are created with wavy and gallery cantilever slabs, or decorative lines, strips and blocks. Soft and elegant lines present the space with rich layers. Roman columns give the whole space a stronger Western aesthetic touch, and are matched with wall lamps to create a sense of street romance.
In this project, design team chooses the comprehensive balance of design, material and construction unilaterally, use years of design experience to ensure the effect of decoration while making skilled use of materials, and optimize the design from the perspective of on site construction, which not only improves the design efficiency, saves the overall cost, and speeds up the advancement of the project.
The south segment is characterized by modern life, the middle segment presents old Harbin culture, and the north segment highlights future vitality and innovation. The platforms are designed in modern European style, where elements and colors are reintegrated and optimized, and concise lines combined perfectly with traditional European elements to show cultural scenes in the history of Harbin.
