Production Technology

The latest upgrade to the system is the new Gx Sweat Patch that completes the personalized hydration system. Until now, sweat testing was traditionally done in a lab using expensive equipment and skilled technicians, and therefore only accessible by top professional teams. Gatorade transformed this resource-intensive process into a method that is simpler, cheaper, and accessible to everyone by developing the Gx sweat patch. The patch is a next-level wearable that sticks to the user’s forearm and collects sweat from one high-intensity workout to track fluid and sodium loss. Then, the Gx App—designed to help athletes optimize workouts and track long term progress—scans it all. Using that unique sweat profile, it recommends hydration and fueling strategies for the next time the activity is performed, helping athletes optimize their workout and recovery.
