This study exhibits a fine balance of sophistication and cultural richness that is synonymous with Chinese calligraphy, highlighting the art form's cultural importance and relevance to Asian Pacific American heritage.

In the spirit of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the designer conducted research on traditional Chinese elements and utilized innovative technologies to create a stunning design. Using Adobe Illustrator, digital Kanji strokes were translated and written, while Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom CC were used to create a layout and combine the Kanji strokes of Big Dream with photography backgrounds. The result is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern techniques that celebrate the cultural significance of Chinese calligraphy and its relevance to Asian Pacific American heritage.
This project balanced traditional Chinese calligraphy with modern design, honoring the significance of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Extensive research, including traveling to China and consulting with calligraphers, fully understood the art form's cultural significance. The stunning poster design seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, showcasing the timeless beauty of Chinese calligraphy while embracing contemporary design. It highlights the rich cultural heritage of Asian Pacific Americans and the importance of celebrating their contributions to art and design.
The project was started in Nov 2021 in the U.S. and finished in March 2023
This experimental visual layout was created with a focus on design concepts and a deep appreciation for cultural heritage, in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The translated calligraphy art Chinese Kanji strokes of Big Dream were incorporated into Photoshop to create a distinctive and delicate impressionistic style that reflects the exquisite elegance and rich cultural heritage of China. This unique style is intended to be utilized across all visual materials and communications for the brand, connecting with audiences and forging a path towards the future while honoring the past.
The research traced the roots of Chinese calligraphy, exploring the Kanji symbol for "Big Dream." Learning from master calligraphers in China, I gained a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of this art form, capturing its essence in my designs. This journey celebrates Asian American Heritage Month, my culture, and heritage, and highlights the importance of our dreams for our future.
