Multifunctional Space for Design Gallery
Mount Kinabalu is located in Northern Borneo. The inspiration for the entire design came from the earth-toned colour palette and the material was selected as it is warm and serene. The feature wall uses the natural rock collected from Mount Kinabalu, with the enhancement of lighting illumination from the ceiling, it does clearly shows the texture of the rock. The combination of stone and timber creates a balance of harmony. While the details of the furniture use leather and gold finishing to symbolize luxury and deluxe.

Production Technology
Besides choosing Mount Kinabalu rock as feature wall, chevron wooden texture also applied to intrigue the the sight within the atmosphere. More than that, gold stainless steel inlay also applied to smoothen the eyesight. The bronze ceiling design used spray paint coating finishes combine with hanging feature and topography to create the Wow- factor.
Design Challenge
To refine the design concept with the usage of the selected materials and creates the balance within the atmosphere.
Project Duration
The project started in May 2021 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The expected date of completion- End of 2022
Operation Flow
Experience a gathering room for families and friends to bond relationship. From the parlour to the dining table, it is a multi-functional space where residents and visitors allow to gaze movies, play board games, having potluck dinner etc.
Research
The design inspiration came from the most recognizable symbol of mountain which located in Northern Borneo. Whereas the topography of the Mount Kinabalu has become the highlights within the atmosphere. A picturesque of scenery could be found from the full height window glass in dawn.
