Office and factory complex design for a new company, combining natural and industrial elements with a Japanese touch. Includes a conference room with Japanese paper walls, an integrated office space with glass partitions, and a rest area featuring a staircase-like kitchen and stage-like living/dining room. Restroom's flow line combines with runway markings symbolizing a journey. Designed to inspire new creations.
X,Industrial,Organic,Japaneseness,Coziness
Design embodies the "X = combining" ethos, blending industrial and natural elements. The entrance fuses earth, wood, and stainless steel to signify the move to advanced manufacturing. The office uses glass and Japanese paper to create an open and "Japaneseness" feel. In the rest area, a staircase kitchen and stage-like living/dining space with Japanese design foster a cozy environment. Corridor runway markings depict the company's global journey, capturing its identity and promoting innovation.
The client is a company specializing in production using 3D printers and selling 3D printing equipment. They made efforts to seamlessly integrate organic materials into the design to avoid giving the impression of a typical manufacturing factory.
The project began in January 2021 in Osaka City and was completed in May 2022, with use beginning in July of that year.
Design integrates the "X" theme to foster a collaborative workspace. It features glass partitions for teamwork, Japanese paper walls for "Japaneseness", and innovative spaces like a staircase kitchen and stage-like living/dining area for staff well-being. The restroom pathway with runway symbols represents the company's global journey, promoting creativity and a unique user experience in a transformative setting.
I come up with a design that combines various things and things, such as the origin of the client's new company name, industrial materials, natural things, Japanese composition and materials.
