Production Technology

Design Challenge
The most challenging part of the "Wayang Golek" project was merging traditional Indonesian art with contemporary graphic design while maintaining cultural integrity. Balancing the historical and social perspectives of Wayang Golek with modern aesthetics required careful research and thoughtful design choices. Externally, ensuring the designs could be produced in various formats without losing quality was a technological challenge. However, using Adobe Illustrator allowed this versatility, providing the designs maintained their vibrancy and detail across platforms.

The project started and finished in the summer of 2022 and was exhibited in 2022 West Java.
Operation Flow
The "Wayang Golek" series, as digital artwork, is interacted with primarily visually. Viewers can explore the vibrant color palette, intricate patterns, and strong typography that echo traditional Indonesian art. While rooted in tradition, the designs are presented in a contemporary style, making them relatable to a modern audience. Cultural and design research was conducted for the "Wayang Golek" series.
