Beverage Packaging for Seven Hills Distillery
Sevenhills Distillery has launched a vodka made from grapes to complement its highly successful Tokaj Gin. It produces just 800-1000 bottles a year, which can be defined as an artisan product. The aim was for the packaging to reflect the purity of the vodka, but also to reflect the unique grape base. The simple typography of the front label gives the product a clean simplicity, while the screened bottle evokes a grape leaf in a contemporary way. As with the gin, the lens effect has been given great attention in the design, as the liquid-filled bottle distorts the fine details.

When designing the packaging, it was a challenge to continue and surpass the Tokaj Gin packaging previously also created for Seven Hills Distillery. Many variations were made on the illustration of the grape leaf on the bottle, which had to be reformulated in a contemporary way so that it would not dominate the bottle and the front label, but still give a unique, special and unmistakable appearance to the vodka made from the grapes contained in the bottle.
Started and finished in Budapest at the end of 2022.
As the customer looks through the bottle filled with vodka, the liquid adds an additional dimension to the screened illustration.
The design of this bottle is a continuation of the Tokaj Gin packaging (that is also the product of Sevenhills Distillery), but in a more contemporary and modern way, that fits to the subject of making vodka from grapes.
The aim was for the packaging to reflect the purity of the vodka, but also to reflect the unique grape base. The simple typography of the front label gives the product a clean simplicity, while the screened bottle evokes a grape leaf in a contemporary way. As with the gin, the lens effect has been given great attention in the design, as the liquid-filled bottle distorts the fine details in an exciting way.
