The design process focused on minimalism and a monochrome palette, emphasizing the use of natural materials. The hallmark of the project lies in the impressive hall section, complemented by a wooden sliding curtain system in the dining area. A striking feature is the 7.5-meter-high Sominine wall design that elegantly divides the living and dining sections.
Natural, Modern, Natural Materials, Details, Monochrome
Various natural building materials were used, including wood, marble, ceramics, lacquered elements, metal, glass and mirrors. These materials have been carefully selected for their compatibility, with special attention paid to intricate details down to the millimeter on each surface. The design process was meticulous, with each element considered and crafted specifically for this unique home.
Through in-depth analysis, we sought to establish a coherent connection between the integrated designs, ensuring that each element complements the other seamlessly. Our approach involved meticulous consideration of materials, prioritizing those that not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the overall aesthetic. We carefully examined the intersection of simplicity and functionality, striving for a design that feels both natural and purposeful.
The project started in December 2021 in Buyukcekmece, Istanbul and finished in March 2022.
Operating seamlessly with a minimalist perspective, this projecttransforms through an intuitive interaction mechanism. The shadow play orchestrated by the wooden curtains adds a layer of aesthetic charm, complemented by strategic light games that enhance the overall experience. This thoughtful integration not only contributes to a better result but also elevates the house's functionality with a touch of elegance.
The design research aimed for a harmonious blend of nature, simplicity and functionality. Materials were carefully selected to seamlessly integrate the designs and ensure each element complements the others. The focus was to create an interior that embodies the desired natural, simple and functional features.
The vision was to create a modern aesthetic that was not only distinctive and warm but also embraced simplicity without compromising functionality. By skillfully blending client preferences with a touch of refined taste and technical expertise, the design process was initiated. The focal point emerged organically, beginning with the fireplace wall and extending to the intricate wooden curtain system.
