Unique Properties
The Green Captain brand's special icon merges a leaf's shape with a hidden ship, symbolizing the founder's journey from seafaring to cultivating treasures on Sipan Island. Each package embodies captain iconography, from suit symbols on olive oil bottles to ship icons on wine bottles. Carob packaging reflects Sipan's natural and architectural heritage, setting this design apart with its seamless integration of narrative and aesthetics.

Production Technology
The Green Captain packaging utilizes premium materials such as Fedrigoni paper and foils for a luxurious feel. Cutting-edge printing technologies were leveraged to achieve vibrant colors and crisp detailing, enhancing shelf appeal and brand recognition.

The project started in Croatia in April 2023 and finished in February 2024
Research
Our methodology began with a thorough brand strategy, exploring brand stories, customers, and competitors. Research on the island's history and founder's legacy ensued. Next came brand naming, followed by design exploration, prototyping, and finally, printing.

Green Captain Sipan Island Treasures branding and packaging draw inspiration from its founder's remarkable journey. As the world's youngest tanker captain turned cultivator of traditional products on the serene island of Sipan, Croatia, his story symbolizes a return to roots and heritage preservation. Our design reflects this narrative, honoring tradition with modern elegance.
Project Overview
Green Captain Sipan Island Treasures has been a Bronze winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively.
