The Zhuang minority culture has a legend that human are born from flowers, and today they still worship the goddess named Menogga. Even Menogga is a legend story belongs to a minority, but 1983Asia still find the beauty behind this story. This concept explains the Zhuang natural connotations of the female spirit, fraternity and tolerance.We injected this concept into the brand.

1983ASIA team conducted cultural research into Menogga. However, Menogga is a traditional image which is too ancient. Therefore, We scanned the traditional Zhuang minority fabric Menogga image and designed through AI, PS and other software. Except the visual brand design, 1983ASIA also designed derivatives such as clothing, package and umbrella etc.
The emphasis of this project is Chinese minority culture, bring the ancient not known culture to the daily life with modern design skills. The long-term goal of this project is make people understand the insight of our culture and enjoy the minority history.

The most important part of branding is the spirit which include the story behind, impressive image and aesthetic communication. Menogga retains the aesthetic feelings of many matriarchal societies and extends the aesthetic characteristics of women’s aesthetics, therefore, 1983ASIA designed from females perspective to transform the emotion to people. Also, the historical stories behind combine with modern design skills make communication more effective.
Chinese minority culture. 1983ASIA went to Guangxi province to do the research. The research was done through collect information by talked to Zhuang minority people who live in there, and read relative articles.
The Menogga goddess are the inspiration source for the design this time. There are more than 50 minorities in China, and 1983ASIA designed this project show the amazing culture from the Zhuang minority to the world. 1983ASIA brings the traditional character form their culture with modern design for inheriting, and making Menogga become a promoter of Guangxi province aesthetics culture is our design goal.

Menogga Branding Design has been a Bronze winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
