Package design, totem, traditional culture, Asian design, fruits
1983ASIA designed mascot graphic (the monkeys) from pencil draft. There are many monkey characters within the industry, and what 1983ASIA designed is not blindly follow mainstream ideas. 1983ASIA combined unique and aesthetic ideas, and transferred the draft on softwares such as AI and PS. The colour in this project is impressive because it carries deep meaning elements such as flowers, seasons and natural so on. Those elements expressed by printing technology such as UV.
The Pagoda brand includes three aspects which give a window into its products for the consumer. From product, to living and concept, these three dimensions explain how Pagoda respects the environment, looks after the land, and builds up an ecosystem which focuses on its costumers. Those dimensions above all need to be delivered to customers smoothly rather than force them to believe. Even there were many elements, however, 1983ASIA developed two cute and lovely characters to help the brand demonstrate those ideas.
this project finished in end of 2017 in Shenzhen China
Monkeys are correlated with the fruits, in this project, they dance in each of the four seasons, and flowers change with emotion. Grass and wood represent the seasons and flowers look forward to producing their fruits. Flowers are the symbol of a happy life, and also the expectation that nature harvest fruit. In a farming society, people use dance to communicate with the heavens and the earth, praying for a natural abundance every year, which has become popular around the world. 1983ASIA turned this joyful and beautiful art form into a part of farming aesthetics.
