American urban style, eco-friendly, half-height entrance wall, Art Deco
The visual permeability is tuned through the opened/ semi-opened space. The colours and jointing are used to create an elegant image in the entrance. A symbolic fireplace and symmetrical book walls are used in the living room to create a cozy wall expression. The irons and designed glass partitions work as a link and interacts between the living room and the study room, and also works as an extension to the space.
The concept of this project is to emphasize on the tenants mental expression than on the details of the space itself. For example, the half-height entrance wall, the clear glass partition between the living room and the study room, the opened dining area were designed to maintain the visual permeability and the interactions between the family members.
The project started in October 2019 and finished in January 2020 in Taiwan.
The dining area and kitchen are very important part in the American style designs. With the sliding door design, the area can become an open space and also be divided into an independent one, emphasizing a spacious feeling, at the same time maintaining a diverse function. The hostess of the house will also be able to interact with the children while cooking, which help to maintain an intimate bond in life. The proportion of the kitchen cabinets and the moderate blank space of the kitchen wall makes a pretty end to the common area.
The whole area is furnished with zero formaldehyde oak wood flooring. The material is easy to take care of due to the small pores and hardness of the material, hence giving a healthy image. By using eco-friendly paint, this project practices an urban and ideal concept, awakens the environmental awareness among the people, creating a perfect blend of architecture and environment.
This project is based on American urban style and get inspired by European new classical style, therefore you can find out lots of unique unit in this space. Designer combined life function and artistic material together to visualize the modern light luxury image.
