Urbano is an innovative handle-bar & carrying bag for bikes. It aims to carry heavy weight with bikes comfortably, easy and safely in urban areas. The unique shape of the handle-bar provides space to fit the bag. The bag can be easily attached to handle-bar with the help of the hook and velcro bands. The placement of the bag generates advantages with driving experience which is much needed in urban areas. The bar is also designed to stabilize the bag that helps to give the better driving experience to the cyclist.

Design Challenge
Observations in London was a bit hard because I had travel around all the city to determine the problems that urban commuters encountering. It was actually fun to take all the pictures and to actually see the problems however it was a bit tiring activity to walk around the city for days.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2018 in Nottingham Trent University. After 3 months of research process, the actual designing process started and lasted for two months. Project ended in May 2018 in Nottingham Trent University.
Operation Flow
The handle-bar can be easily fitted on to any bike. The unique shape of the handle-bar provides space to fit the bag. The bag can be easily attached to handle-bar with the help of the hook and velcro bands. The placement of the bag generates advantages with driving experience. It allows much safer trip with weight balancing and also gives better control with the bike itself which is much needed in urban areas.
Research
Quality literature review, an online survey, semi-structured interviews living in both London and Istanbul and an extensive observation studies are reported in submitted PDF documents. The deep research enabled me to set a design brief to apply a solution for the concerning problem.
Inspiration
The main inspiration of the project comes from urban life-style and its obstacles. With the growing world people are more tended to move to bigger cities and it causes congestion which causes delays in people's daily routines.The project aims to find a alternative solution for urban commuters. The brief is set up after the research process. Highly detailed research process supported with literature review, surveys and observational studies was the key point of the project.
Project Overview
Urbano Handle Bar for Bicycles has been a Iron winner in the Fashion and Travel Accessories Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
