Production Technology
After planning optimal color and technique to express being inspired, does motive work with Photoshop using Graphic Tablet, applies overlap effect to layers for fancy and mysterious feeling in the sea. Keeps correcting until color, size, and arrangement are stable and satisfying, works with square drop that constant repetitions are possible. Makes various products printing out as Digital Textile Print(DTP) to Satin material to make pattern design and concept stand out.
Design Challenge
The challenge was to visualize, beautiful sight from nature in repeated daily routines. So, this project applied graphic effect overlapping many layers with digital technique, to express the mystique of nature.
Project Duration
The project started in February 2020 in Los Angeles and finished in Jun 2020 in Los Angeles.
Operation Flow
This pattern design is applied to all fashion items like blouse, one piece, scarf, bags, and so on. This gives formativeness and esthetic beauty to not only satin but various materials, increases the value of fiber products being harmonized with clothes design.
Research
Kangaroo appears in downtown of Australia, and luminescence plankton appears in the ocean of many countries, and jellyfish floats in canal of Venice. Like this, paradoxical situation that nature breathes again due to covid-19 is a phenomenon that happens throughout global village. As it doesn’t come to an end completely yet, the whole world is having hard time, and many people have pain and hardship. On the other hand, it was time that could learn many things. The wild animals appear and air pollution recovers in only a few weeks. This is obvious proof that the cause of lots of pollutions in the earth is the result of human activities. Hoping covid-19 comes to an end as soon as possible and taking a lesson from the paradox that covid-19 gave environment. The expect more harmonious global village society and show design that can share the beauty of recovered nature with people all over the world.
Inspiration
Paradoxical situation that nature breathe again gives everyone happiness, who is tired of repeated daily routines. People stop coming because of Covid-19, plankton living in sea water appeared on the beach throughout the world in 60 years, and directed beautiful magnificent sight. It was inspired by shining blue wave with bioluminescence on Venice beach, and intended to express the ecstasy of nature as design. This fluorescent light is fancy, standing out especially when the Sun sets and wave hits, and draws up beautiful night sea scene being harmonized with gravels in the sea.
