Our patterns are unique because they are created with our bespoke software called MovISee, which generates a design by using body movement and is then adapted by the designer to perfect the colours. This digital-analogue method enables us to produce asymmetrical and non-repeat patterns that are very different from those created using traditional methods, such as mirroring or rotating. We have not seen similar scarf patterns in the textiles/fashion accessories market. Whereas most luxury scarf pattern designers use silk, we digitally-print our patterns onto pure wool.

We create unique digital patterns using our own software programme that uses body movement to reconstruct digital data and reveal organic details not possible solely by programming. Our patterns are therefore very different from those created using traditional methods. Through trial-error, we use digital printing techniques that reproduce the fine detail of the original designs whilst retaining the special colour combinations. Pure wool fibre holds the ink and reveals the detail of each pattern. We can also create customised patterns by using personally-selected digital data.
The challenge was to produce unique patterns that can be applied to playful, aesthetically-pleasing and desirable products. We created asymmetrical dynamic patterns that can be worn in different ways. We explored how to combine computing power and body movement. The digital software helps us to connect body movement and data so we can create non-repeat patterns that retain the detail and spontaneity of body movement. We modify the pattern whilst it is being created, rather than allow the software to wholly dictate the design, so the patterns also reveal the authorship of the designer.
This Collection is inspired by New York City: its energy, landscape and eclectic architecture and culture, from art deco to the super contemporary. The project started in 2018 in London and is ongoing. We began by researching ideas and colour-ways, gathering visual data and playing around with the software to create new pattern designs specifically for this Collection.
A pure wool scarf with a digitally-printed pattern which can be worn as a unisex fashion accessory. We produce unique and dynamic patterns that can be applied to playful, aesthetically-pleasing and desirable products. With asymmetrical and unique colour combinations, a scarf can be worn in different ways and to reflect individual expression and fit changing fashion needs and occasions. Patterns are printed through the wool, so the pattern is double-sided. The wool is specially treated so that it is extremely comfortable and non-abrasive to the touch.
We create unique digital patterns using a bespoke software programme (MovISee) that uses body movement to reconstruct digital data and reveal organic details not possible solely by programming. We aimed to apply the designs to a saleable commodity - pure wool scarves - without losing the sense of movement and unusual colour-ways inherent to the patterns. Through trial and error, we found digital printing techniques that reproduce the fine detail of the original digital designs whilst retaining the special colour combinations. The scarves are retailed and exhibited internationally.
We are interested in digital craft, and the collision between technology and analogue methods, and to share creations with a wide public. The submitted works are from our 2021 collection, which is inspired by New York City: its energy, landscape, architecture and culture. With our software, we continue to explore new pattern structures to depict inspiring places and stories. For the 2021 collection, we incorporated various shapes and forms, including linear patterns, lines, zigzags, crystal and swirling forms to generate variety and completeness in terms of design.
