Campaign Design for The International Society for Performing and Visual Arts
As the Internet remains the most viable and contingent way of connections nowadays, X-hale takes the opportunity to invite artists for meaningful and engaging conversations around art and its enduring possibilities. Although COVID-19 closes doors to the traditional on-site exhibition, it opens a window to virtual platforms. This new form of art show relies heavily on digital promotion. The visual design creates a sense of fluidity and unknown to echo with the exhibition's topic: the possibility and dynamics brought about by the pandemic.

COVID 19 is both the project's biggest challenge as well as the trigger. As Internet remains as the most viable and contingent way of connections nowadays, this exhibition takes this opportunity to invite artists for meaningful and engaging conversations, dialogues, and Q&As to share their thoughts and perspectives around art and its enduring possibilities: its creative agency in making changes, its role as a conceptual catalyst, its capacity to trigger inspirations, ideas, stories, and its therapeutic function for emotional and mental states.
This is an ongoing project starting in July 2020 in New York and Beijing
Promoted on ISPVA.org and social media platform like Instagram. Live Stream in YouTube, and bilibili. Most of the promotional materials like square posters, quotes are designed in motion. The design aims to create a peaceful breathing movement and fluidity to attract audience's attention.
The exhibition aims to provide a platform where artists can share their thoughts on how the pandemic changes their careers and lives. To some extent, the process of communication is an artistic exploration and design research itself.
The pandemic brought drastic changes in people's lives. As everyone is exploring their ways to cope with the unprecedented situation, new and creative ideas sprung up too. The primary subject is a 2.5D structure, and the designer used Iridescent color to present a sense of lightness, flow, and mystery.
