Red Wine for Yunnan Shangri-La Wine Co. LTD

The design was inspired by the posture of the trunk of the old vine and the unique ecological environment of the plateau. Use Chinese ink painting techniques to express the texture of grape trees, and three spirits to represent the unique natural environment of Shangri La. The butterflies represent the local air, the fish represents the local water, and the pines represent the local soil. The whole picture is divided into three parts, which can be combined to form a complete picture of vine growth. In this way, people are urged to protect the ecological environment and inherit the national.

Unique Properties

1,the entire series including three product,get creative inspiration from the expression of traditional Oriental ink painting,each product with ink shading of natural texture represents the wine flowing rhythm,The combination of the three products is like a winding and tough old vine trunk.2,The three products are combined with the animals in the producing area respectively.The colorful butterfly represents air,the Pisces represents water,and the pika represents soil.

Production Technology

The wine label is made of kapok paper with rough texture, and rough texture of old tree surface is made by convex technology.

Design Challenge

We use eco-friendly kapok paper. The challenge of this design is how to make the texture of grape trunk on the paper. We use concave pressing and bulging technology to create realistic tree trunk texture on paper.

Project Duration

The project began in October 2019 and will be completed in August 2020

Operation Flow

1,From the texture of traditional Oriental ink paintings,we find that different forms are presented,like the natural flow of the red wine,and like the trunk of a vine,which can be presented individually or as a series of combinations.2,In today's material development, the natural environment is destroyed and traditional art gradually dies out.We also hope to arouse people's protection and inheritance of traditional art and ecological environment through the creativity of this set of products.

Research

The origin of this red wine series is located in high altitude areas. The pure air, water and soil create a high-quality ecological environment. This wine is made from the fruits of old grape trees. The older the trees are, the higher the wine quality is, which is worthy of collection.

Inspiration

The creative inspiration comes from the winding growth posture of old grape trees and mottled traces of years, The longer the tree age, the higher the wine level, which represents the quality of a good wine, just as the growth of old trees requires years of precipitation. We hope to use the traditional culture of the East to interpret this series of wine, to expand the boundaries of culture and blend.

Project Overview

Shangri La Red Wine has been a Silver winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
