Unique Properties

Production Technology

The PET label adopts nine color UV printing process. The lush growing grape and the worship animal spirits are depicted by unique local painting, implying the fine environment. Figure 3716 is the altitude at which the winery is located. The auspicious blessing symbol and the image of colorful prayer flags on bottle, the Tibetan architectural style outer box, as well as ochre red and stone yellow, the most noble and sacred colors of local, every detail reflects the local features of the product.

Design Challenge

The extremely high altitude and cold climate where the product located pose a great physical challenge to the design team members. In order to present the local characteristics in packaging design to fit the product well, team members need to get with the extreme climate in a short period of time to get better understand the natural environment which formed the product, and explore and perceive more local history, culture and spirit background where the product grows up.

Project Duration

The project started in Wuhan in February 2023 and was completed in Wuhan in April 2023.

Operation Flow

It's easy to identify the location as the most famous palace in Tibet provides the reference design for the outer box. It comes out the image of mountains surrounded when the box was opened at the top and a feeling of flying over high mountains and exceeding the limit when the bottle is taken out from it. The unique auspicious blessing patterns and local animal images, offer the novelty and collectible value of the product and let it to be the best choice for gifts and tourism commemorations.

Research

As a high-end product representing the regional culture of Xizang, the packaging design should not only reflect the geographical environment and regional characteristics that consumers are familiar with, but also reflect the profound local cultural heritage, so as to well express the uniqueness and cultural attributes of the product as a product with local characteristics.

Inspiration

The appearance and color of the Potala Palace, known as the first royal palace in the Tibet, directly reflects the local identity. The figure of extremely high altitude of the production area, the images of snow mountains and local animals reflect the ecological environment of the place as well as the product quality. The auspicious blessing patterns and unique painting art of Tibet endows the product with more emotional, cultural and artistic values.

Project Overview

Pazhu Winery Grape Wine has been a Iron winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
