This scene is from a high fantasy video game. One of the lands in this world has a legend that occurs once every several centuries, which is called The Day Of Moby Dick. The messengers from the Gods visit this land signaling a new future. It is the dawn of a new civilization, which comes with a blessing. Even though it causes the collapse of the current civilization a new era will rise from the destruction. As the future manifests through their bodies, creating a transformative leap forward in evolution. It is a gift that envelopes the whole world. Each land in this world has its own unique customs, deeply intertwined with traditions, folklore, and history of the inhabitants. There is the possibility of developing rich large scale worlds within this game. As this is an ongoing project, there is continuous experiments with the visual representation of these complex worlds.

Even for illustrations, it is important to research architectural styles and old customs. By following that process, it becomes possible to give reality to the world view of illustrations and create an immersive feeling. In order for people to embrace the "unreal world of illustration", "reality" as an entrance is necessary.
Created during the one-month period of May 2020. At a studio in Tokyo, Japan.
Key visuals for video games that may be realized in the future. By sharing your own visual image with people, you will gain insight into what video game users want and sympathize with, and think concretely about your approach to realization.
It is to embody illustration and visual design as entertainment. In many cases, there is a client's request, but it is important to "visually embody" the language or sentence. I consider my role to be a "visual translator". Using consideration, research, and image power, we visualize a complex world that no one has ever seen as a "picture" that can be understood by everyone.
My initial idea was to create a character beyond the existence of human wisdom. Combining two completely different settings and genres, I was captivated by the monolith from the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" and the whale from the novel "Moby-Dick; or The White Whale". The whale's majestic presence and his mythical aura left a very strong impression. I projected the monolith onto Moby Dick to bringing into existence a mighty deity. In the legend they are considered to be almighty beings, messengers from the Gods. They give progress to humans, leading them to the new era.
