Lipstick for Bruce Tao

This project aims to create new way to make up which can make the traditional cosmetic into a new style. This is a unique lipstick design. Users just need to push the bottom and the lipstick will be pushed out. Women only need to sip to make up. Yanzhi's thin and light structure can easily fit into a wallet. This makes it easy for women to carry a lot of lipstick for different occasions. The project is also very environmentally friendly, reducing the use of plastic.

Unique Properties

This is a unique lipstick design. The most differences are appearance and function. In appearance, it was inspired the ancient Chinese Yanzhi. The reappearance of classical elements in modern life. Production Technology

The plastic part is made of PP material, which belongs to environmental protection material. It can be directly in contact with cosmetics and food. It is the main material for filling organic skin care products. The lipstick part is made of DuPont paper, which is waterproof and tear resistant.

Design Challenge

This is an innovative design with a complex internal structure, and the machining qualification rate is the biggest challenge encountered by this project.

Project Duration

The project started in September 2020 in Milan and finished in February 2021 in that place, and was exhibited in China in February 2021.

Operation Flow

To use it, first place your hand on the bottom of Yanzhi. Then gently push up to push the lipstick out. Then the lady takes a sip of Yanzhi's lipstick paper and finishes the makeup easily. Finally, after the makeup is done, Yanzhi is pulled back by the dot at the bottom.

Research

According to the survey, consumers like to choose the type of lipstick according to the occasion and clothing. In addition, consumers tend to choose a lipstick price of less than 200 yuan. The market size will be close to 28 billion euros in 2025. There is a huge market demand for beautiful, unique, and inexpensive lipsticks.

Inspiration

I got my inspiration from ancient Chinese lipstick. Yanzhi is the lipstick of ancient China. It has a very unusual way of making up. Women only need to sip it to make up. Our motivation is to make this ancient product more suitable for use in modern life.
