Ancient Chinese scholars divided the year into 24 periods of roughly equal length and build the 24 solar terms by observing the Astor weather in nature, that guided the agriculture and the lives of Chinese till now as China's cultural heritage. Baidu is the largest search app in China, with 600 million monthly active users, is an Integrated content and service platform with info as its core. The design is accountable for society, delivery of human aesthetics, national and technological developments.

Implementation of technical material. Leveraging the dynamic search result page capability of the Baidu APP product to go live as a dynamic illustration.
Design Challenge
Our experience design is charged with social responsibility, technological advancement, national development and the transmission of humanistic aesthetics, making the culture accessible to all users is a difficult challenge. By digitally representing the twenty four solar terms combined with ancient traditional techniques in vivid and dynamic images in the search results of the Baidu App, we visually show this great intangible cultural heritage to hundreds of millions of search users.

Operation Flow
The set is already live in the search engine of the Baidu App, where users can search for the name of the festival or keywords to reach the page. With 3 visual upgrades, users are not only able to see the animation effects, but also to quickly flip through all the festival content via the aggregated section at the bottom. Combined with videos, news and information, encyclopedia entries, etc. to provide users with high quality content.
Research
We used many research tools during the project. Industry pr-study, braining and interviews were used to identify features and innovation. For the design we recovered the ancient way of dividing the fests into 4 types: Season, Temp, Weather and Biology, and show the impact on people, animals and changes in nature. While we resorted ancient Chinese colors and painting skills. It allows Baidu users to know Chinese culture while having fun. It is a break from the old boring textual form.
Inspiration
Ancient Chinese scholars divided the solar year into 24 periods of essentially equal length, it guided the agricultural production of the ancient Chinese. Till today, it guides the lives and traditions of Chinese as China's ICH. Baidu is a full content and service App with information and knowledge. We designed with social responsibility, technological progress, national development and the passing of cultural aesthetics. We visually present this great ICH to users by vivid and dynamic images.
