Design Challenge
It is used to break down fatty acids and reveal the richest flavors in coffee grounds. As in the ’blooming' method, the water gradually meets the coffee grounds in a circular movement from the outside to the inside, at the point where it meets the coffee grounds.
Project Duration
The project was designed in Istanbul, Turkiye. The complete product development process for all different versions took about 18 months.
Operation Flow
The user fills the water tank with water, then pours only his coffee without using paper, thanks to the special filter of the coffee tank, and adjusts the aroma adjustment bar according to his own taste. Then press the start button and the machine starts. If desired, place your cup on top of the brew chamber to warm it up and it will heat up. Then you can sip your coffee with pleasure. Thanks to the apparatus supplied with the machine, it can brew manually even when there is no electricity.
Research
Market research was conducted. The user experience was examined. Together with the baristas, the drip brewing method, filter micron diameters, water temperature, pot and cup temperature were examined for the best coffee experience.
Inspiration
Although filter coffee is a common drink for everyone, the aroma received from coffee is different due to the fact that our tastes are different, just like our personalities. To develop a coffee machine that can be used at home or outside the home that will provide a drink according to the preferences of people in an environment where personal tastes come to the front.
Project Overview
Aroma Gourmet Filter Coffee Machine has been a Silver winner in the Home Appliances Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design.
