Brand color control was another challenge. We performed color management to ensure that the brand color would create the same impression whether it was reproduced on paper, film, or a monitor.
Taping is a mature market, so the challenge was to establish a brand clearly differentiated from the competition despite being a latecomer. We formulated the tagline Tape or Lose and the distinctive yellow-green brand color to underscore the fact that the brand targets athletes. In addition, we created a single visual embodying the brand’s worldview, and utilized it in catalogs, websites, and trade show booths.
PLEADY launched in July 2019.
We seamlessly integrated brand development with the development of communication tools. This production framework allowed us to successfully create a unified worldview for all touchpoints, despite a tight production schedule.
The brand name is a portmanteau of play and ready. It expresses support for thorough conditioning through the provision of high-quality taping to athletes. The key visual of a female runner draws inspiration from the brand logo, which has a line in the brand color running through it.
