The solution of how to balance the general character and individuality between 5 different products in this series in quite interesting. Iris presented in each product of FRANGI as the core element, which improved the whole packaging quality and user experience with no extra expense on transportation and production. The vertical stripes which simulated plants stalk as the independent identity of this new series. With different materials, the whole series gave a vivid and unified appearance.

Unique Properties
FRANGI aims to invent a new series of skincare products,including lotion,mask,essence for eye,cream.As the core element of FRANGI,the iris presented in each product.The vertical stripes which simulated plants stalk as the independent identity of this new series. With different materials, the whole series gave a vivid and unified appearance.

Production Technology
In the design of facial cream, toner, and facial cleansing cream, a refined embossment of iris is displayed between the stripes, which themselves can change with different material. To assure the effect, well-chosen frosted acrylic, matte glass and PE are used to packed different products. The details are exquisite as well. The spoon for facial cream and the massaging cap of the eye serum are both shaped based on the iris flowers. All these details are made to improve the quality of packages.
Design Challenge
How to convey all that is behind a brand or a product with the simplest graph design?In this case,the brand's sense of high-class and the products' function of restoration and moisturization are expressed explicitly.Meanwhile the various but serial display of the 5 products is performed.So a selective use of material to be made with strips is key to the project.
Project Duration
The project lasts 3 months, designed in Shenzhen and produced in Shanghai.
Operation Flow
How to improve packaging quality and user experience with no extra expense on transportation and production?Frosted materials,elaborate iris patterns and simplest stripes comes together to tell the brands' story and provide a quality consumption.
Research
Unlike food or beverage, skin-care products presents themselves in a more professional and functional way to consumers. Yet, quite a few brands fail to do so, as they failed to realize what a good package can achieve. However, our goal is to design packages with most simple patterns but compact shapes to convey a message that the products themselves are worth buying as it is functional and aesthetic.
Inspiration
We have been thinking how to enable a product to its own story? Iris, as the branding symbol, forms the logo and is shaped solidly in a frosted acrylic cap.The vertical stripes imitate plant stems, whose function is to absorb water. With the most simple pattern, the product's function will present to consumers naturally.The refraction of lights on the packages will help the series of Frangi outshines its competitors and show graceful glamour.
Project Overview
Frangi Premium Skin Care Series has been a Silver winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design. Their work often incorporates original innovations and elicits a strong emotional response, making a notable impact on the improvement of everyday life.
