Corporate Identity for River Liu Design
Tibet Shannan project aimed at promoting the tourism industry in Shannan. By creating a representative logo to extend the impression of the city through systematic products and tourist guides. The inspiration for the logo is drawn from the features of Shannan and simplified into symbols through contemporary art. The logo itself is versatile and scalable, able to seamlessly integrate into different products. This work hopes to bring a positive and interesting energy to the audience, better meeting the needs of the modern market and helping this ancient city showcase its diverse aspects.

Unique Properties
Shannan is the birthplace of Tibetan civilization. In Tibet, the visual design symbolizes the harmonious combination of heaven, earth, and man. The overall shape of the logo is inspired by the Himalayas and the Mani stone, while the colors that symbolize Shannan are derived from local attractions and culture. The logo incorporates an energizing visual aspect that contrasts with the brand's deep cultural connotation, boosts the logo's memorability, and represents a city that embraces all things.

Production Technology
The icon was crafted using Procreate, while the typography and other graphic elements were produced in Adobe Illustrator to maintain their vector quality. The final designs were provided in various color formats, including RGB, CMYK, and Pantone, to ensure consistency in the brand's color appearance across all media platforms. This approach guarantees that the brand's visual identity will be accurately represented, no matter the medium in which it is displayed.
Design Challenge
Shannan's relative obscurity prompted the design team to prioritize identifying the city's unique attributes. With an increasing number of young people interested in culturally rich destinations, the challenge was to create a visually engaging system that reflects Shannan's heritage while remaining current and appealing to contemporary sensibilities. This project demanded a deep understanding of cultural heritage and modern design practices to deliver an effective solution.
Project Duration
The project started in July 2021 in China and finished in Jun 2022.
Operation Flow
The prototype of the logo was hand-painted before being processed and colored in illustration software. Logo design software is used to create a portion of the typeface design, which is subsequently included in the final logo. The retrieved elements are then used to create a visual gallery and apply it to relevant peripheral products.
Research
With the development of public transportation, networks, and quality of life, more and more remote regions are experiencing economic growth. Shannan's vision is randomly identified in such a large area, necessitating its own urban visual communication system. It is a visual representation of the city's historical context and overall color scheme. The design and installation of an effective image system will have a beneficial influence on the rapid formation of the city's brand image and the rapid enhancement of the city's competitiveness.
Inspiration
Here's a more professional version: Shannan is a city with a rich historical and cultural heritage, known as the cradle of ancient Tibetan civilization. Upon learning of Shannan City's initiative to increase public awareness through the collection of city signs, I took on the task of developing a comprehensive visual system to support their efforts. Utilizing the region's unique cultural and natural characteristics as inspiration, the visual design aims to capture the essence of Shannan and tell its captivating story to the world.

Tibet Shannan Corporate Identity has been a Silver winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
